OrbitOracle – AI Horoscope (“OrbitOracle”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides AI-generated horoscope content through a mobile application available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

By using OrbitOracle, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Date of birth (month, day, year) — used to determine your zodiac sign and personalize horoscope content.
Gender (optional) — used to personalize horoscope language and content.
Focus area (optional) — your selected interest area (love, career, health, or general) used to tailor horoscope readings.
Language preference — your selected language for horoscope content and app interface.
Report messages — if you choose to report inappropriate content, your message text is transmitted to our server.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device information — device model, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and debugging purposes.
Advertising ID — Google Advertising ID, collected by Google AdMob for serving relevant advertisements.
Purchase information — subscription status and transaction data, processed by Google Play Billing.
App usage data — general interaction patterns (e.g., which features are used) for improving the app experience.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
We do not collect precise location data.
We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
We do not collect biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data for the following purposes:

Horoscope generation — your date of birth, gender, focus area, and language are sent to our server to generate personalized AI-powered horoscope content.
Personalization — adapting the app interface and content to your language and preferences.
Advertising — Google AdMob uses your Advertising ID to display rewarded video advertisements. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
Subscriptions — Google Play Billing processes subscription purchases. We verify subscription status to provide premium features.
Content improvement — report messages help us identify and address inappropriate or incorrect content.
Debugging and stability — device information and crash reports help us fix bugs and improve app reliability.

3. Third-Party Services

OrbitOracle uses the following third-party services:

3.1 AI Content Generation

Horoscope content is generated using OpenAI API (GPT-4o-mini). When you request a horoscope, your zodiac sign, gender, focus area, and language code are sent to our Cloudflare Workers backend, which communicates with OpenAI’s API. No personally identifiable information (such as your exact birth date) is sent to OpenAI — only the zodiac sign derived from it.

3.2 Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display rewarded video advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and general usage data to serve ads.

3.3 In-App Purchases

Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. Payment information is handled entirely by Google; we do not have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.).

3.4 Backend Infrastructure

Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers with Cloudflare KV for caching horoscope content. Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP address, request headers) in accordance with their privacy policy.

4. Data Storage and Retention

4.1 Local Storage

Your profile data (date of birth, gender, focus area, language) is stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data is not transmitted to our servers except as described in Section 2.

4.2 Server-Side Caching

Generated horoscope text is cached on Cloudflare KV for up to 24 hours to improve performance. These caches contain only the horoscope text associated with a zodiac sign and language — no personally identifiable information.

4.3 Report Messages

Content reports submitted through the app are stored on our server for review. Reports may be retained for up to 90 days for content moderation purposes.

4.4 Server Logs

Our Cloudflare Workers may temporarily log request metadata (timestamps, request paths) for debugging. These logs are automatically deleted within 72 hours.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
We do not share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Data is shared with third-party services only as described in Section 3, strictly for the purpose of providing app functionality (horoscope generation, advertising, payment processing).

6. Advertising and Your Choices

OrbitOracle displays rewarded video advertisements powered by Google AdMob. These are opt-in: you watch a video ad to unlock additional horoscope sections.

We do not display banner ads, interstitial ads, or pop-up ads.

Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

7. Children’s Privacy

OrbitOracle is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at the email below, and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your data:

8.1 Access and Portability

Your profile data is stored locally on your device. You can view it at any time within the app’s Settings screen.

8.2 Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

Local data: Uninstall the app, or clear app data via Android Settings → Apps → OrbitOracle → Clear Data.
Server-side data: To request deletion of any report messages or server logs associated with your usage, email us at support@orbitoracle.space with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. We will process your request within 30 days.
Advertising data: Reset your Advertising ID via Android Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID.
Subscription data: Manage or cancel subscriptions via Google Play Store → Subscriptions.

8.3 Rectification

Since profile data is stored locally on your device, you can modify it at any time through the app’s onboarding (edit profile) feature.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data:

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
Server-side infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides enterprise-grade security.
We do not store sensitive personal data (passwords, payment details) on our servers.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Our backend services operate on Cloudflare’s global network. Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. Cloudflare complies with applicable data protection frameworks.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
